Reimotec PET Strapping Technology

Production technology connected to the specification, equipment and application that matter to you.

Technology behind the strap

Newton China integrates Reimotec PET strapping production technology.

Our starting point is the finished strap and the packaging job it needs to perform. Review dimensions, measured weight per meter, the required properties and the intended machine together. The production approach provides context; a written grade specification and a relevant trial establish what you are approving.

PUBLIC TECHNOLOGY CONTEXT

Understanding the Reimotec / SIMA connection

Reimotec became SIMA Germany in 2017. SIMA Germany describes support for installed Reimotec plants, including service and modernisation. SIMA’s public strapping technology covers extrusion, stretching and winding.

EREMA also publishes an inline PET strapping example involving upstream treatment and filtration with downstream strapping processes. It is an industry example, not a statement that Newton has a particular EREMA system installed.

These public references help explain the technology ecosystem. Supplier machine specifications do not define the performance of a Newton grade.

FROM TECHNOLOGY TO SPECIFICATION

What to review for your application

01 / DIMENSIONS

A defined product

Confirm width, thickness, tolerances, surface and measured g/m for the proposed grade. Keep nominal values and acceptance limits distinct.

02 / EQUIPMENT

A workable interface

Share the machine or tool model, accepted strap dimensions, coil format and joining method. Check the actual setup with a sample.

03 / VALIDATION

An agreed result

Define relevant tests and package-trial criteria before ordering. Record the grade, equipment settings and acceptance decision for repeat supply.

Broad equipment compatibility

Newton PET strapping is designed for virtually all common PET-compatible strapping equipment, from hand and battery-powered tools to semi-automatic machines and automatic lines. The proposed grade must match the machine’s accepted dimensions, coil interface and tensioning and joining requirements.

A sample trial confirms the combination for your package. Equipment designed only for steel or PP strap requires separate manufacturer confirmation.
